The EBEC is an educational learning community of eight school districts located on the east side of Narragansett Bay. EBEC’s mission is to share, coordinate, and combine resources of the member districts to help develop world-class educators and schools. This includes providing high quality science and math instructional materials and teacher professional development for grades PK-8, and federally-funded curricula for physics, chemistry, and environmental studies for high schools. Their programs emphasize hands-on learning, active investigation, and teacher-vetted lessons which increase student engagement, achievement, and interest in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

The East Bay Regional Park District preserves a rich heritage of natural and cultural resources and provides open space, parks, trails, safe and healthful recreation and environmental education. An environmental ethic guides the District in all of its activities. Interpretation and Recreation Services Mission: The Interpretive and Recreation Services Department inspires East Bay residents to enjoy and value their Regional Parks through innovative programs and services that are educational, uplifting and empowering.
