To create environmental awareness within the students of Martin County which can be carried into the home, school and community.

At Environmental Volunteers, founded in 1972 in Palo Alto, we inspire people of all ages to learn about the wonders of the natural world. We train volunteers to lead hands-on science and nature programs in schools, community organizations, and at the EcoCenter in the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve. For schools, we offer science curriculum for grades K-6 which meets State of California science education requirements and NGSS.

Environteers website and Environteers Weekly Update promote all 102 environmental entities in Santa Cruz County - including nonprofits, parks, museums, agencies, and academics. We publicize their educational activities and volunteer opportunities. Our mission is to make it easy to keep informed and in action protecting and restoring our environment.

Erie County Conservation District is a service based organization providing for the conservation of natural resources and the creation of a healthy environment. We educate local residents, municipalities, landowners, educators, and organizations that are involved with or concerned about wise environmental stewardship.
