America's Teaching Zoo is the living classroom for the students studying in The Exotic Animal Training and Management Program, a major at Moorpark College. Students put what they learn on paper into practice with all the creatures that serve as teachers at America's Teaching Zoo. The American River Conservancy serves our communities by ensuring healthy ecosystems within the upper American and upper Cosumnes River Watersheds through land conservation, stewardship and education. The American River Conservancy offers environmental and experiential education programs designed to not only inform, but to inspire. Our place-based education programs explore the unique ecology of the Sierra Foothills and encourage learners to connect to their environment on a deeper level. We are committed to promoting land stewardship by recognizing our collective responsibility to retain, manage and enhance the quality and abundance of our land, air, water and biodiversity.
