The Gulf Guardians mission is to educate, engage, and inspire current and future Guardians of the Gulf through environmental stewardship, community events, and professional development opportunities.

GMEA is a project-based artist collaborative with a mission that informs art with science, science with art, to promote conservation and activism for worthy environmental causes. Our current project is 'SeaChange: Darkness & Light in the Gulf of Maine' - a year-long large-scale immersive arts installation that opened February 3rd, 2023 at the Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, Maine.

The Gulf of Maine Research Institute pioneers collaborative solutions to global ocean challenges. Located in Portland, ME, the institute is dedicated to the resilience of the Gulf of Maine ecosystem and the communities that depend on it. We pursue this mission by conducting foundational, interdisciplinary research on the Gulf of Maine ecosystem, through work with the seafood supply chain and coastal communities, and by engaging middle school educators and students in authentic experiences with science. The Gulf of Maine Research Institute provides programs and interactive technologies that are are adapted to serve students with visual and auditory impairments and the physical space is outfitted for mobility challenges.
