Our mission is to integrate science education, applied research, and leadership development through year-round educational programs and a seasonal environmentally-sustainable island community. We accommodate as needed in our programs but due to the remote nature of our island there are essential eligibility criteria for anyone coming to the island itself for a program

The Hurricane Island Field Research Station is located on the Center for Science and Leadership campus in Penobscot Bay, Maine, approximately 10 miles offshore from Rockland. The Field Research Station is being upgraded in 2021 with a new Lab building to provide dedicated space for Hurricane Island researchers and visiting higher education students to conduct their important work.

I Love A Clean San Diego (ILACSD) has worked to improve the health and beauty of San Diego for almost 70 years and continues to be a leading environmental organization in San Diego County connecting over 60,000 youth and adults with the local environment each year. I Love A Clean San Diego leads and inspires our community to actively conserve and enhance the environment through example, outreach, and local involvement. Our educational programs include: Classroom Presentations, After School Programs, and Community Workshops and Events.
