We are dedicated to promoting awareness and preservation of coastal margins and the marine environment through the disciplines of the sciences and the arts.

We are an arts and outdoor education center located in the heart of Gorham abutting the Tannery Brook Conservation Area. We offer a variety of programs that incorporate the arts and natural world around us to children and adults.

Our mission is to protect, preserve, and restore the South, West, and Rhode Rivers by working with local communities to achieve clean, fishable, and swimmable waterways for present and future generations.

Working with young people ages 14-21, centering marginalized and incarcerated youth with a special focus on those in the care and custody of the state, AS220 Youth strives to dismantle the pipeline to prison by empowering at-risk, beyond-risk and incarcerated youth through its award-winning arts and collective action programming.

We are an experientially-based outdoor program focused on developing greater leadership, communication, trust, and initiative in teams. Our program has served participants of all ages and abilities.

Open spaces, parks and recreation provide opportunities for living, learning and leading a full and productive life.

AMOS is Western North Carolina's home for experiential science learning, discovery, and exploration. AMOS strives to spark the imagination and foster lifelong curiosity.
