Camp Walden
Camp Walden is a 7-week, overnight camp for girls ages 7-15 in Denmark, Maine. Campers return each summer for friendship, challenge and fun and learn skills while participating in activities such as wilderness trips, horseback riding, tennis, sailing, musical theater and water skiing. Since 1916 the Walden experience has supported campers as they acquire leadership skills and confidence to navigate their world.
At Walden we teach leadership and responsibility for this leadership through modeling. Younger campers learn these skills when older campers lead a discussion, comfort a friend, and take initiative around camp. In addition every Saturday our oldest campers spend Rest Hour facilitating a bunk meeting with younger campers and their counselors. These conversations are a weekly opportunity for campers and staff to reflect on what is going well for their bunk group and what they can work on to ensure the best summer for everyone.
The connections campers make through these shared experiences at Walden last a life-time. Our robust alumni network remains loyal both to camp and to their Walden friends. They often refer to camp as their favorite summer home!

Camp Winnebago
Winnebago is a residential boys camp founded in 1919. Camp is both timeless and innovative. We shape each camperÂ’s Winnebago experience to match his abilities through our expertise in experiential learning and child development.
Our fundamental philosophy is a belief that a boyÂ’s character, values and contentment are cultivated through a sense of joy, connection and developmentally appropriate effort and challenge. Winnebago thrives as a place where boys can be their true selves while maturing in a physically and emotionally safe environment. We do all this amidst a stunning natural landscape away from many of the distractions and trappings of the modern world, giving boys unique experiences as they explore the nooks and crannies of Maine.
Andy Lilienthal, a third generation owner/Director, and his wife, Laura, a board-certified pediatrician, are the proud parents of two Winnebagans.
