CFROG is dedicated to combating the climate crisis by working to shape the transition from fossil fuels to a carbon-free economy on California’s Central Coast. We are committed to the establishment of an economy that is sustainable, inclusive and promotes renewable energy. We work at the local level to build awareness of how fossil fuels impact our communities, and engage area officials, government agencies and other like-minded organizations to eliminate those impacts. CFROG serves as a watchdog organization dedicated to ensuring that oil and gas operations are properly reviewed, permitted, monitored and compliant.

The Climate Science Alliance is a boundary spanning network of leaders, scientists, managers, and community members focused on sharing ecosystem-based resiliency approaches to safeguard our communities and natural resources from the impacts of a changing climate. We do this through leading activities and creating partnerships that increase awareness of climate change impacts, promote solutions, and facilitate actions. Through partnerships with climate scientists and qualified educators, we encourage curiosity about the natural world while providing youth the tools necessary to make educated decisions about how to protect our planet in the future.
