About Lake Auburn Watershed Protection Commission
Protecting the water quality of Lake Auburn, Lewiston and Auburn's water source, through conservation, watershed management, & educational outreach. Lake Auburn provides safe drinking water to over 41,000 in the Lewiston and Auburn area. This water goes to homes, schools, businesses, municipalities, and more. While most water utilities need to be filtered and treated, Lake Auburn only needs to be treated due to the high water quality. Learn about the watershed and environment by taking a hike on one of our public lands, or attending one of our free educational events.
