Nature Hike: On this 1.5 mile trek, your family will visit many plant communities on the Estate only accessible with a staff guide, including the newt pond, redwood groves, and oak woodlands. Learn how plants and animals interact in surprising and important ways. Patterns in the Garden: Children love playing with patterns! Filoli''s historic Garden provides abundant examples of natural and human-made patterns: the shapes of shrubs in the formal garden; time observed in the sundial; and sound patterns made by birds.
