Tree and Shrub Program

Each year for the past 45+ years, the Stearns County SWCD has offered native trees and shrubs for purchase. The program runs from late fall until early spring. The SWCD currently offers 28 species of bareroot trees and shrubs. The program was created to provide landowners an affordable and convenient way to purchase trees and shrubs for conservation practices such as: windbreaks, shelterbelts, living snow fences, and wildlife habitat.
