Exploring Habitats

While taking a hike through our nearby wetlands, forests, and fields, students will make and record observations about these three different habitats and some of the animals that live there. As they begin to observe the main components of each habitat they will compare and contrast the different environments and learn how these differences/similarities will determine which plants and animals would live where. 2 hours, 2nd grade and up, NGSS: 2-LS2-1, 2-LS2-2, 2-LS4-1, 3-LS4-3, 3-LS4-4
