For over two decades, the SECRETS program has played an integral role in the educational landscape of Gorge area schools, immersing fifth-grade students in a journey through the concepts of Survival, Ecosystems, Cycles, Relationships, Energy, Time=Change, and Stewardship. Aligned with state educational standards, each SECRETS session comprises seven interactive in-classroom lessons that use the school's surrounding ecosystem to reveal universal ecological concepts, a community outreach event, and a culminating day-long field trip to a local natural area.
