Oregon

Gen:Thrive Oregon is being coordinated by Gray Family Foundation. Gray Family Foundation is founded on the belief that fostering an understanding and appreciation of our natural world is a crucial part of a child's education. We are committed to advancing inclusive, equitable, and diverse opportunities that enable all Oregonians to strengthen their connection to place through meaningful experiences in the outdoors. In partnership with networks across Oregon, Gen:Thrive will compile and share data to help focus our efforts where it matters most in providing equitable access to environmental education and outdoor opportunities.

Gen:Thrive

Gen:Thrive, a program of EcoRise, is a collaborative initiative that provides shared data and technology tools to accelerate sustainability and advance health, equity and climate resilience in K–12 schools.

Project Overview

The goal of Gen:Thrive Oregon is to provide information, tools, data, and coordination to help deepen our understanding of environmental education programming and provide greater accessibility for all people in Oregon. When completed, these resources will be open to the public and shared with community and school leaders to inform and advance K-12 environmental and outdoor education in Oregon. The tools will help identify opportunities, gaps and barriers preventing successful implementation across our state and recommendations and next steps for increasing access.
