Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve Outdoor Classroom

The purpose of the K-12 Outdoor Classroom is to promote the understanding, awareness, appreciation, and stewardship of our environment through outdoor science education at the Butte Creek Ecological Preserve and the Big Chico Creek Ecological Reserve. It is our philosophy that through increased knowledge and understanding, individuals will learn to protect and preserve our natural resources. Topics of field trips include Spring Run Salmon, Bird Ecology, and traditional Native American use and stewardship of the land.
