From the Ground Up : Residential Composting Initiative

Saving the planet starts in your kitchen. It's as easy as composting the food you didn't eat. Composting is an important part of any sustainable city. It reduces the amount of trash entering the municipal landfill, creates nutrient-rich soil without chemical fertilizers, and helps reduce the city’s carbon footprint. Our composting learning sessions offer students interactive, hands-on instruction and can be adapted for Pre-K, primary, and secondary school students.
