Marine Mammal Rehabilitation & Research Lab (Teens)

Teens, 15 to 17 years old, explore marine mammal science while gaining hands-on experience in animal husbandry working side by side with our rehabilitation team. Participants shadow veterinarians on patient rounds, hearing about current and past case studies. Scientists teach the group about the physiology, population ecology, behavior and conservation of marine mammals. Teens participate in ongoing science investigations and go out in the field with researchers to conduct marine mammal observations to learn methods scientists use to collect data.
