Neighborhood Roots

This enrichment program for elementary school afterschool programs offers 16 weeks of programming, 8 in the fall and 8 in the spring, as well as a 6-week module for community-based summer camps. Children spend time outdoors being curious, learning about natural habitats and caring for the environment. Sessions take place in nearby, accessible greenspaces such as schoolyards, parks and community gardens, helping children to appreciate urban ecology and the benefits of nearby nature.
