Peace in the Prairie – an original presentation exploring the concepts of peace and violence, juxtaposing urban life as experienced by African American people living in the city of St. Louis, Missouri and the state’s endangered prairie lands. Is the path towards peace through Missouri’s native prairies?

Grades 4-8, 30 min film available for screening with music, storytelling by Bobby Norfolk of the Native American Legend of the Mosquito

Grades 9-12 and college, 1 hour film available for screening with stories of exposure to trauma and healing through art and nature

In school visits may accompany the film screening with artists sharing interactive storytelling around the theme of healing through art and nature.

Multiple songs including To The Prairie Song lyric paperback book available ($15 plus S+H), Prairie Therapy, America, and Missouri Waltz, accompany the work.
