School & Group Environmental Science in Yosemite National Park

School and Group Environmental Science Programs Our overnight programs take youth out of the classroom and into national parks. Students spend their days immersed in nature, living and learning alongside their peers. Led in small groups by experienced educators, students engage in scientific principles firsthand, explore ecological concepts, collaborate with their classmates, and apply their learnings in real time, all while discovering the joy of the outdoors. Purposeful Inclusion Diversity is not just welcomed at NatureBridge, itÂ’s essential to our success. Our educators create an equitable, welcoming and empowering learning environment. Utilizing the unique strengths, lived experiences and knowledge of all NatureBridge learners allows us to achieve our goal of creating a shared love of nature and healthier communities for us all. Sample Activities at NatureBridge''s Yosemite Campus **Hike along the path of a waterfall and learn about glaciation. **Study ecological relationships from the perspective of a 2,000-year-old giant sequoia tree. **Discover winter adaptations of plants and animals while cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in high Sierra meadows. **Participate in National Park Service research projects such as macroinvertebrate biomonitoring and conifer removal. Program Outcomes Students connect to SCIENCE + NATURE + SELF AND OTHERS with activities designed to support personal growth, build interpersonal skills, develop science knowledge, strengthen critical thinking skills and promote active environmental stewardship. NatureBridge strives to create an impactful and lasting educational program for every student.
