Seattle Schools Recycling & Compost Education (Solid Waste)

Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) has partnered with Seattle Public Schools (SPS) and the area’s private K-12 schools to reach students with Seattle’s recycling and composting messages since 1990. This contract aims to work with Seattle’s schools to reach our recycling and composting goals, develop environmentally aware young residents, and reach our Service Equity goal that all Seattle’s kids have an equal opportunity to participate, regardless of school resources. This includes development of and implementing a Recycling & Compost Education program
