Symbiotic Schoolyard

Symbiotic Schoolyard is an NGSS-aligned, place-based Ecosystem Curriculum for middle school science teachers. The unit is anchored by a native planting project in the schoolyard (or a nearby park) and can include pollinator gardens, container gardening, restoring an ecosystem to the schoolyard, and native meadowscaping. The Schoolyard Habitat Restoration Unit has everything teachers need to teach for a 6 week project-based ecosystem unit. Becoming a Symbiotic Schoolyard teacher also includes one on one consultation on the restoration project.
