Teaching Climate Justice

Presidio's Teaching Climate Justice course gives K-12 educators the opportunity to explore the important topics of climate change and environmental justice. The course begins with the fundamentals of weather, climate and global warming. It examines the history of the climate justice movement, focusing on the implications of the inequitable impact of climate change on marginalized communities. The course also looks at getting students out into nature, partnering with community organizations, accessing resources and amplifying the voices of Black, Indigenous and People of Color to address climate justice. Participants can earn 15 PD hours or 1.5 CEUs. Graduate credit option available.
