PWSRCAC funds programs via RFP that facilitate learning experiences with Exxon Valdez oil spill (EVOS) region youth (K-12, college), including in Prince William Sound, Kachemak Bay, Resurrection Bay, lower Cook Inlet, and Kodiak Island. Programs can also train teachers. Programs should result in better understanding of citizen oversight, environmental impacts of the operation of the oil terminal in Valdez and the associated oil tankers, oil spill prevention and response planning and operation, and/or other topics related to the Council’s mission.
