About Maine State Museum
The Maine State Museum offers stories of human interactions with the natural environment over the past 12,000 years. The museumÂ’s educators strive to help visitors of all ages connect their unique experiences to MaineÂ’s rich natural and cultural heritage as embodied by the museumÂ’s collections and exhibits. Drawing from a variety of communication tools and learning strategies the museum educators develop and deliver dynamic programs, foster in-depth dialogues, and promote a spirit of inquiry and critical thinking.
Currently, the museum is offering a variety of free, live, online programming via Zoom while the Museum remains closed for extensive renovations and with hopes of reopening in late 2025/early 2026
