The mission of the Sustainability Manager and Sustainability Committee is to provide guidance on and lead projects that maintain balance between economic, social, and ecological needs of residents and businesses for today and future generations. Sustainable projects will help provide better transportation, buildings, neighborhoods, parks, and healthy places to work and live. The Sustainability team works with all departments and with the public for holistic project management.

Our mission is to connect high school and university students, teachers, and scientists through research, education, restoration, and community engagement.

To teach that every living thing deserves respect. Fresh Air Family is dedicated to environmental and scientific education, strengthening families, youth and communities.

Friends of Ballona Wetlands is a 501(c)3 non-profit which champions the restoration and protection of Los Angeles' last coastal wetland and educates our diverse community as stewards of nature. Through field trips, tours, summer camp, and volunteer restoration and creek clean-ups we serve Ballona Wetlands and our community.
