Fishers Parks Nature First Program
Fishing for Life
Founded in 2004, Fishing For Life has dedicated over a decade to serving youth, families, veterans, and communities through its fishing and outdoor programs. While the organization’s mission centers on these activities, its core values lie in fostering relationships—first and foremost with Christ, who serves as the driving force behind their work. Intentionally designed fishing and outdoor programs serve as avenues for building relationships with various groups across the state, including at-risk youth, families, veterans, and communities in Minnesota and throughout the Midwest.

FishÂ’n Tales Adventures
Welcome aboard! Join the captain and crew aboard the 50? fishing boat, Northeastern, for seal watching out of Wickford Harbor, and lobster and fishing trips out of Newport harbor. This Coast Guard inspected vessel can carry up to 45 passengers. Seal watching tours run in the winter and early spring and can be adapted to meet your students' curricular needs, whether that be seal biology and life history, geography, or Wickford history. Lobster trips are offered in the spring, summer, and early fall and in addition to learning lobster biology and life history, students have an opportunity to get hands-on experience with the lobsters and other creatures that are pulled up in the lobster traps. Fishing trips can also be added to a trip or offered as a stand-alone opportunity.
