Little River Wetlands Project (LRWP) is a nonprofit land trust founded in 1990. Our mission is to restore and protect wetlands in the historic watershed of the Little River, a major tributary of the Wabash River, and to provide educational opportunities that encourage good stewardship of wetlands and other natural ecosystems.
LRWP, we get our boots muddy while working towards the highest goals- quality of life, improvement and sustainment of our natural resources- for the betterment of our community. Living Classroom''s mission is to make education come alive and to empower the next generation by growing environmental champions, inquisitive learners, and healthy eaters who know where their food comes from. Our goal is to inspire children to learn about and to value the natural world through garden-based education. Our 50+ engaging, hands-on, Next Generation Science. Founded in 1987 as the Chula Vista Nature Interpretive Center, we have served the San Diego community for over 30 years. We are a community of staff, volunteers, wildlife ambassadors, and a nationwide base of partners. Our Mission: To inspire the community to connect with and care for our coastal environment.
