James Baldwin Outdoor Learning Center strives for inquiry and project-based solutions at the juncture of food, environmental and social justice.

James River Basin Partnership is a grassroots, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization working to improve and protect the water quality of the springs, streams, rivers, and lakes in the James River watershed which consists of almost a million acres of land in portions of eight counties.

Virginia State Parks' mission is "to conserve the natural, scenic, historic and cultural resources of the Commonwealth and provide recreational and educational opportunities consistent with the good stewardship of these lands, waters and facilities that leave them unimpaired for future generations."
