The Kittery Land Trust (KLT) was established in 1987 as a non-profit organization striving to protect special places in our community. Since that time, we have conserved almost 1,000 acres throughout town including important woodlands, wetlands, farmland and coastline. Our goals include protecting habitat for plants and animals, providing areas for outdoor recreation, fostering a connection with nature through education and outreach, and contributing to a healthy ecosystem. We continually aim to live up to our motto of 'Saving Land, Building Community'.
