Our mission is to connect young people to the wonder and science of the natural world, igniting self-discovery and inspiring stewardship of our planet. Through our overnight, hands-on environmental science programs, we take more than 30,000 students each year into our national parks to explore the outdoors, connect with their peers, discover themselves and develop a lasting relationship with the environment.

NatureTrack is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides cost-free outdoor field trips for K-12 students, teachers, and others (including wheelchair users) in Santa Barbara County. Our mission is to encourage students to embrace the natural world with respect and wonder, inspiring them to be thoughtful stewards of our natural resources. I founded NatureTrack in 2011 for the sole purpose of getting kids out into nature during the school day, providing hands-on learning, and supporting teachers. NatureTrack has provided more than 25,000 outdoor experiences on local trails and beaches during the past ten years.

Our mission is to foster appreciation of nature nearby and provide tools for ecological living. From summer daycamps to family Nature Quests, school field trips to Network Charter School classes, Restoration Celebrations to Learnscape gardening projects, we’ve got programs for everyone! Since 1992, we’ve served tens of thousands of people, from the tiniest tots to the wisest elders. We’ve also worked with thousands of volunteers and partnered with numerous community organizations. We welcome and encourage the participation of all members of our community and look forward to having YOU as part of our Nearby Nature family.
