To provide educational experiences for all ages through a community of natural settings; thus providing an open window into the worlds of groundwater and conservation to inspire stewardship practices.

Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (Midpen) is an independent special district in the San Francisco Bay Area that has preserved a regional greenbelt system of nearly 70,000 acres of public land and manages 27 open space preserves. Our Mission: To acquire and preserve a regional greenbelt of open space land in perpetuity, protect and restore the natural environment, and provide opportunities for ecologically sensitive public enjoyment and education.

We are a free public library open to all.  The mission of The Friends of the Milbridge Public Library is to inspire lifelong learning, advance knowledge, and strengthen our communities through programming and outreach. We aim to provide additional funds for library materials, equipment, and/or services from donations received for our cause.

We offer snowshoe rentals for adults and children and also have several citizen science kits to borrow.  In previous summers, we have also offered story time hikes and special story times with authors and illustrators.
