The Jackson County Conservation Board is responsible to acquire, develop, maintain and make the following available to the inhabitants of the county: public museums, parks, preserves, parkways, playgrounds, recreational center, county forests, wildlife and other conservation areas, and to promote and preserve the health and general welfare of the people, to encourage the orderly development and conservation of natural resources, and to cultivate good citizenship by providing adequate programs of public recreation.

CPW’s mission is to perpetuate the wildlife resources of the state, to provide a quality state parks system, and to provide enjoyable and sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities that educate and inspire current and future generations to serve as active stewards of Colorado’s natural resources.

We are dedicated to the wise use of our natural and human resources, joining with others to strengthen our community through measurable and sustainable means for the benefit of all.

The University mission is three-fold: Teaching, Research, Public Service.
