The mission of the John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation District is to provide leadership, technical assistance, and education to the people of Fauquier County in proper soil stewardship and water quality protection to ensure the wise use of the county’s natural resources.

The Joppa Freedmen’s Town Association strives to increase resources and heighten awareness for Joppa residents and advocate for environmental justices and education development and historical.

My goal is to help environmental organizations to provide schools, teachers, and students with curriculum that will increase interest and learning through appropriate, aligned curriculum.

To acquire, develop, maintain and make available to the inhabitants of the county, public museums, parks, preserves, parkways, pathways, playgrounds, recreation centers, county forests, wildlife and other conservation areas, and to promote and preserve the health and general welfare of the people and to encourage the orderly development and conservation of natural resources, and to cultivate good citizenship by providing adequate programs of public recreation
