Partnership for Providence Parks
The Partnership provides support and resources for volunteer Friends groups seeking to transform their neighborhood parks into thriving green spaces that reflect the needs and character of the community. The Partnership works with the Department of Parks and Recreation to: cultivate, nurture, and support Friends groups; develop city-wide partnerships for resources, programming, and events that will be available to Friends groups; and establish a network of Friends groups and community partners to share best practices and resources, celebrate volunteers and parks, and increase awareness of parks and the people who care for them.

Pawtuxet River Authority & Watershed Council
PRAWC is quasi-public agency created by the Rhode Island state legislature in 1972 whose mission is to improve and protect the Pawtuxet River and its watershed. PRAWC provides recreational places on the Pawtuxet River for public enjoyment, performs restoration projects, and conducts river cleanups and events in order to improve the quality of life in Rhode Island and render the river's 231 square mile watershed system fishable and swimmable. The PRAWC is a regional agency whose board of directors is made up of appointed representatives from each of the communities of Coventry, Cranston, Scituate, Warwick, and West Warwick.
