San Bruno Mountain is one of the largest open space parks within an urban environment in the United States and a refuge for dozens of rare and endangered plants and animals. San Bruno Mountain Watch emerged from the grassroots movements working to save San Bruno Mountain in the 1970s. Through guided hikes, educational programs for schools, community-based ecological restoration events, digital learning resources, and our native plant nursery, we educate the community about the remarkable natural and cultural history of San Bruno Mountain and engage people of all ages in protecting and restoring its native species and habitats.

San Diego Children and Nature empowers communities, educators, and families to connect children to nature and the outdoors so that children–and the natural world– can thrive.

SDCOE's mission is to inspire and lead innovation in education. SDCOE aims to serve as an educational leader and trusted partner to transform public education and guarantee high levels of student achievement. In partnership with local school districts and the global learning community, we research and apply innovative 21st century practices; leverage resources; develop strategic alliances; inspire powerful leadership; and provide exemplary customized services to districts, communities, and the students in all SDCOE-operated programs.

To interpret the natural world through research, education and exhibits; to promote understanding of the evolution and diversity of southern California and the peninsula of Baja California; and to inspire in all a respect for nature and the environment.

As the Central Project Office for the San Diego STEM Ecosystem, we coordinate, collaborate, and communicate with hundreds of organizations in San Diego with a vested interest in STEM Education. We can get messages out to organizations quickly to respond to specific needs.

San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is an international, nonprofit conservation organization with two front doors: the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We integrate wildlife health and care, science, and education to develop sustainable conservation solutions.

The San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy preserves, protects, and shares the natural and cultural resources of the San Dieguito River Valley through collaborative efforts to acquire lands, complete trails, restore habitats, establish educational programs, create interpretive centers, encourage recreation, and mobilize public support.
