The mission of the Oregon Naturalist program is to increase knowledge, sense of place, and connection to the natural environment for all Oregonians. The program provides transformative, science-based, experiential learning in outdoor settings, and encourages service that protects and supports ecosystems and community wellbeing in Oregon.

The OSU Extension Master Gardener program uses gardening and horticulture education to build more connected, healthy, and resilient communities. We provide accessible and equitable education programs that nurture life-long learners and volunteers who can expand the reach and impact of science-based sustainable gardening practices to benefit all Oregonians.

OUR Community Forestry is dedicated to fostering resilient, inclusive, and sustainable urban forests for underserved and climate-vulnerable communities across Oregon. Our mission is to restore, protect, and expand urban tree canopies, ensuring equitable access to the critical environmental, economic, and social benefits that healthy urban forests provide. Through education, job creation, and long-term stewardship, we empower these communities to actively participate in the care and growth of their urban forests, building lasting resilience for future generations.
