Outward Bound California''s (OBCA) mission is to change lives through challenge and discovery. OBCA uses experiential education in green spaces to foster character development and leadership in youth, veterans and adults. OBCA courses aim to create safe and inclusive groups that empower them to build confidence and resilience. By creating a crew that is dependent on the active participation and investment from each crew member, participants discover and actualize their best selves and develop into leaders who think beyond short-term gains, who act beyond themselves toward the greater good.

The Oxbow Eco-Center cultivates knowledge, nurtures a sense of wonder, and inspires stewardship for the natural world through education, artistic expression, collaboration, volunteerism, and celebration.
