We strive to achieve soil and water conservation within the Three Rivers Soil & Water Conservation District through leadership, education and technical assistance.

Thrive Outside is a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving ALL kids and teens the opportunity to fall in love with nature and to THRIVE through the experience. They partner with educators to connect their students with nature by designing and implementing dynamic “Outdoor Learning Zones” coupled with teacher professional development in outdoor learning and teaching. With their turn-key approach, Thrive Outside facilitates the entire process. Thrive Outside also hosts community events that encourage kids, teens, and their families to explore the outdoors, connect with nature, and have fun together.

An academic-based tick-bite prevention and tickborne disease prevention resource, TickEncounter promotes TickSmart tools and thinking. Their programs and resources about tick biology and prevention help people remember critical details and enable more effective and efficient best practices for reducing tick encounters and disease risk. Important tools and platforms include TickSpotters, a national crowdsourced tick survey and response based on tick photo submissions, and the innovative Be Ready For Ticks "Just in Time" which gives access to tick experts using QR code-driven notices.
