Urban Roots is a Saint Paul organization whose mission is to cultivate and empower youth through nature, healthy food, and community.

Located at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography, the ISC is home to a diverse team of ocean scientists, engineers, education professionals, and video producers who work with cutting-edge technology to facilitate, capture, produce, and promote underwater exploration in real time.

Some were created to protect migratory birds, others to protect threatened or endangered species or unique habitats, while others fulfill another special purpose.
