The Richland County Park District is dedicated to introducing and interpreting our region's natural history to the citizens of Richland County through free education and public programming. We do this by providing recreational and educational opportunities through the protection and preservation of Richland County's natural resources to enhance the quality of life for present and future generations.

CPW's mission is to perpetuate the wildlife resources of the state, to provide a quality state parks system, and to provide enjoyable and sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities that educate and inspire current and future generations to serve as active stewards of Colorado's natural resources.

The Rio Grande Watershed Conservation and Education Initiative (RGWCEI) strives to provide dynamic conservation education to the San Luis Valley through connections, collaborations, and experiences that increase understanding of working landscapes and natural resources stewardship.
