Roots to Branches provides nature-rooted, place-based education for young children in Sonoma County. While interacting with the wonders of nature in our community, children are offered opportunities to immerse themselves in a myriad of experiences that support the whole child. Through the development of relationships with each other, educational guides, the environment, and the greater community, children become active participants in the world around them, inviting the emergence of meaningful learning as they discover their place in the world.

Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary focuses on conservation of the Platte River ecosystem and the birds that rely on it.

Roxborough State Park was established to protect unparalleled scenery and resource values and does so through innovative outdoor recreation, educational and volunteer programs. Roxborough will continue to set a high standard for engagement with the natural environment while preserving and enhancing park resources for future generations. The park will continue to serve the people of Colorado as a premier site for environmental education and resource stewardship and is an irreplaceable treasure within the Colorado State Park system.
