The mission of the San Francisco Zoo & Gardens is to connect people with wildlife, inspire caring for nature and advance conservation action. Open 365 days a year, the San Francisco Zoo is home to more than 2,000 exotic, endangered and rescued animals in 100 acres of majestic and peaceful gardens located directly on the Pacific Coast.

San Joaquin County Mosquito & Vector Control District is an independent special district. The District provides comprehensive vector surveillance and control services to enhance the public health and quality of life for the residents and visitors of San Joaquin County. We utilize Integrated Pest Management as a sustainable approach or plan, to managing public health pests and vectors, by combining, biological, chemical, legal, natural, and physical control tactics in a way that minimizes economic, health, and environmental risk. The NGSS lesson sequence focuses on ecology, biology, behaviors of mosquitoes, mosquito-borne disease prevention, and integrated pest management.

The SJCOE promotes student achievement and accountability, serves San Joaquin County's most vulnerable students, and strives to create an environment in which every student, regardless of circumstances, has an opportunity for quality education.

The San Joaquin River Parkway and Conservation Trust's mission is to preserve and restore San Joaquin River lands of ecological, scenic or historic significance, to educate the public on the need for stewardship, to research issues affecting the river, and to promote educational, recreational and agricultural uses of the river bottom consistent with the protection of the river’s resources. The River Parkway Trust offers school field trips, canoe and kayak trips, low ropes course teambuilding, summer day camps, weekend programs, family events, and more.

San Jose Conservation Corps + Charter School develops the personal, professional and academic skills of young adults in Silicon Valley to prepare them for a family-sustaining career. Corpsmembers in the workforce development program gain skills in green-collar jobs while students at the Charter School receive personalized attention to earn their high school diploma. Corpsmembers complete projects in natural resource conservation, zero waste operations, tiny house construction and emergency services, contributing to a more resilient community and environment.

We are an education-focused, botanical garden just off of Highway 1 on California's beautiful central coast. Our garden is a wonderful place to explore independently, join a docent-led tour, volunteer, and learn about the flora of Mediterranean climate zones.
