SMRF protects public access and preserves the San Marcos River, protecting the flow from aquifer-fed springs, improving water quality and protecting the beauty of the area with annual clean-ups.

San Mateo County Mosquito and Vector Control District uses an integrated pest management strategy to safeguard the health and comfort of the residents of San Mateo County. We are taxpayer-funded, and our service area includes the entirety of San Mateo County.

Our primary mission is for students to take action to conserve resources and help protect our environment.

San Mateo County Parks manages 24 parks in the County and our Environmental Education program provides opportunities for virtual and in-person classroom programs and field trips.

Each year, 5,500 students and hundreds of teachers and cabin leaders spend a week at Outdoor Education to learn about the natural world, explore the forest and beach ecosystems, and work together as a community. Fifth and sixth grade students from schools across San Mateo County participate in our Monday-Friday residential outdoor education program, located at the beautiful YMCA Camp Jones Gulch in La Honda, CA.

To promote curiosity, environmental awareness, and community health through stewardship and experiences with an urban greenspace that offers equitable access and connection to the diverse habitats, communities, places, and cities thriving along the Sand Creek Regional Greenway.

As one of South Florida's premier coastal ecosystems and marine life centers, we will transform and inspire our visitors through experiential education and conservation.
