WPWA is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and preserving the lands and waters of the Wood-Pawcatuck Watershed in Southern New England. The WPWA campus is on the Wood River and has a fleet of small boats and a welcome center with seating for up to 30 people. They host guided kayak trips; watershed science education with models on groundwater, watershed, and stormwater; and macroinvertebrate (aquatic bug) sampling and study.

Woodbury County Conservation Board is a regional agency tasked with providing high quality and valuable education, recreation, enhancement, and preservation of our natural resources through professional and courteous service for the betterment of current and future generations. Mission of Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center: To provide quality environmental education and outdoor recreation is carried out through our educational philosophy of environmental awareness, sensitivity, knowledge, understanding, appreciation and responsible actions. Each philosophical step is considered when designing programs for different age levels. To ensure participants receive a positive learning experience, our staff is committed to engaging all levels with experiential and interactive activities.

Woodland Pond School is an outdoor school in Penobscot County, focused on high quality, place-based education for early elementary students. Our mission is to engage students in play and inquiry-based learning to promote agency and autonomy. We foster stewardship of place and respect for all living things and for the environment, and strive to grow strong, independent, creative, resilient kids.

Woodlawn is 180 acres that contains a historic house museum, forested trails, event space, gardens and fields. We offer programming in science and history. Starting in the fall of 2023 we will be hosting field trips for students.
