The Water and Energy Education Program at Sonoma Water helps students and educators learn about the vital role of water and energy in Sonoma, Mendocino, and Marin counties. As a publicly funded program, we provide free classroom visits, field trips, contests, grants, teacher workshops, school supplies, and more to schools in our service area. We increase environmental awareness and stewardship through scientific inquiry and hands-on, experiential education.

We use hands-on activities to meet educational needs and increase awareness of communities: ecological communities by utilizing habitats and human communities by promoting positive group dynamics.

SC Adopt-a-Stream is a volunteer water quality monitoring program that allows citizens to learn about stream health and use their data for education, protection and restoration.

We are an educational and cultural resource center which enhances the understanding of cotton and the cotton industry. Also serve as a venue for education and social interactions.

Champions of the Environment is an annual grant program awarding K-12th grade students and teachers funding to implement environmental action and awareness projects in their schools and communities.
