The Urban Forest Initiative (UFI) is a group of U of K and Lexington stakeholders whose purpose is to promote and protect the urban tree canopy throughout the region.

VISION: The University of Maryland Extension (UME) will be the preeminent Extension organization in the nation by providing Maryland residents with the highest quality of public service, distinguished educational programming, and cutting-edge research that addresses their needs. MISSION: Enhancing the quality of life for people and communities by disseminating unbiased research-based educational information.

4-H teaches 5- to 18-year-olds about citizenship, leadership and life skills. Our team at UMES specializes in hands-on STEM experiences. Welcoming all beliefs and backgrounds, 4-H gives youth a voice to express who they are and make their lives and communities better.
