Our Theory of Action
IHE is founded on the premise that education is the one system that can change all other societal systems. Any lasting and successful shift in our response to the many societal and environmental challenges we are facing in our world rests with young people and the ways they will think and act in the decades ahead. For that reason, we are dedicated to helping educators and institutions prepare young people with the knowledge, skills, and motivation to be solutionaries and the next caretakers of our planet. We are also committed to helping people of all ages, professions, and walks of life become solutionaries.

Provide field education and research experiences, operate forest restoration program, serve the local community through educational programs on environmental awareness and resource conservation.

The International Crane Foundation works worldwide to conserve cranes and the ecosystems, watersheds, and flyways on which they depend.

The Iowa County Conservation Board’s mission is to acquire, develop, and maintain parks, recreational areas, forests, wildlife, and other conservation areas, to encourage conservation, education, and to improve the quality of life in Iowa County.

ISWCD encourages the wise use and management of our natural resources through planning, leadership, technical expertise, education, and proper administration of conservation programs.

We are a chapter of the NCWF. We host events aimed at educating the community about conservation.

The Jackson County Conservation Board is responsible to acquire, develop, maintain and make the following available to the inhabitants of the county: public museums, parks, preserves, parkways, playgrounds, recreational center, county forests, wildlife and other conservation areas, and to promote and preserve the health and general welfare of the people, to encourage the orderly development and conservation of natural resources, and to cultivate good citizenship by providing adequate programs of public recreation.

CPW’s mission is to perpetuate the wildlife resources of the state, to provide a quality state parks system, and to provide enjoyable and sustainable outdoor recreation opportunities that educate and inspire current and future generations to serve as active stewards of Colorado’s natural resources.

Our mission is to facilitate the enjoyment and understanding of our natural resources and to bridge the gap between people and nature. By inspiring sound environmental awareness, we promote responsible stewardship of all of our natural resources and strive to connect people of all ages with nature through experience-based education.
