Kansas City Community Gardens mission is to empower and inspire low-income households, community groups, and schools in the Kansas City Metropolitan area to grow their own vegetables and fruit.

To conserve and enhance Kansas' wildlife and its habitats, ensuring current and future generations appreciate and enjoy these living resources and associated recreation, while informing the public of the status of Kansas' natural resources, gaining understanding and support in achieving this mission.

KOR is a non-profit (501c3), membership based network of representatives from government, industry, non-profit and public entities and individuals that support environmental stewardship through waste reduction, composting, reuse, recycling, and sustainable efforts in Kansas. KOR provides advocacy, information, technical support, networking and educational opportunities in partnership with local, state, regional and national organizations.

As defined in Kansas Statute 74-2608 Collect and compile information pertaining to climate, water and soil as related to the usage of water for agricultural, industrial and municipal purposes and the availability of water supplies in the several watersheds of the state; Develop a state plan of water resources management, conservation and development for water planning areas; Develop and maintain guidelines for water conservation plans and practices; and Shall establish guidelines as to when conditions indicative of drought exist.

The Kansas Wetlands Education Center is dedicated to educating the public about wetland communities, their importance, and the need for conservation and restoration, with emphasis on Cheyenne Bottoms and Quivira National Wildlife Refuge. We accomplish this through interactive exhibits and interpretation, educational programs, outreach, and fostering partnerships with cooperating stakeholders.

The Kansas Wildlife Federation promotes hunting and fishing opportunities and associated recreation for the benefit of all hunters, anglers and conservationists. KWF supports the sustainable use and management of fish and wildlife and their habitats through education, partnerships, outreach, and policy oversight.

To provide books, other resources and programs to encourage connections to nature and environmental stewardship.

The mission of the Katy Prairie Conservancy (KPC) is to protect a sustainable portion of the Katy Prairie for the benefit of its wildlife and all Texans forever.

To beautify, conserve resources, recycle, educate and preserve our community's environmental legacy.
