The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) has a long history of bringing communities together to solve the common issues facing the residents of Central Oklahoma. ACOG was created in June 1966 by local governments under authority provided by the State to lead regional collaboration in Central Oklahoma. ACOG was established to aid local governments in planning for common needs, cooperating for mutual benefit, coordinating for sound regional development, and to serve as a clearinghouse for state and federal funds.

To be a centralized location where coyote sightings, activity, and incidents across metro Atlanta and urban Georgia are reported, maintained, and mapped. To conduct peer-reviewed, scientific research on coyotes.

To provide-research based youth education from the Land Grant University System for ages 9-19.

To support volunteer water monitoring of Alabama's streams, lakes, rivers, and coasts.

Educate teachers, students and the public about Alabama's aquatic resources. Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences assist in utilizing and protecting these resources for future generations.

Through teaching, research and service, the Department of Biology and Environmental Science seeks to advance understanding of the sciences at all levels, from molecules to ecosystems.

The mission of the Auburn University Museum of Natural History is to document, study, and preserve biodiversity in order to educate people of all ages about our planet’s rich natural history.
